Job Summary:

Embark is seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing plant hire operations, and ensuring seamless delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service to our clients, responding to inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Plant Hire Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of our plant hire business, including taking on and off-hire calls, liaising with service and transport departments, and raising contracts on our bespoke IT system.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our service and transport teams to ensure seamless delivery of our services.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a plant hire or equipment rental industry, preferably in a role such as Hire Controller, Senior Hire Controller, or Hire Assistant.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients. Organized with excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Education: Relevant education or training in a field such as business administration, operations management, or a related field.
