Job Title: Specialist Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing expert physiotherapy services to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with complex neurological conditions, including stroke. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, to identify treatment needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and best practices in neurological rehabilitation.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on neurological rehabilitation and stroke management.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies related to neurological rehabilitation and stroke management.
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in neurological rehabilitation, including stroke management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
