Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to lead our outpatient team in County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative therapy services, providing clinical supervision and training to the team, and maintaining a high standard of clinical practice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To lead the outpatient team and work closely with other team leads to ensure best care for patients and service users.
  • To maintain a clinical caseload of highly complex children and young people, working as an autonomous practitioner.
  • To provide frequent clinical supervision and training to the wider team.
  • To be responsible for organising and prioritising own and others' workload across the service.
  • To lead and develop innovative therapy services.
  • To deputise for the operational lead when necessary.

Requirements
  • Proven clinical experience of working with patients and their families in delivery of physiotherapy treatment plans.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of a wide range of conditions and physiotherapy approaches.
  • Evidence of leading and participating in audit.
  • Forward and innovative thinking.
Qualifications and Registration
  • HCPC registration.
  • CSP registration.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • Member of APCP.
  • Attendance of leadership/management course.
