Key Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing care to children and young people with palliative care needs, working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that each child's needs are met and their dignity is respected.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Participate in audit and service user feedback collection to inform service development and improvement.
- Contribute to the education and training of junior staff and students, promoting best practice and evidence-based care.
- Registered Nurse (Child/Adult/LD) qualification
- Experience of working in a paediatric palliative care setting, with a strong understanding of the needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to safeguarding and infection control.
