Nurse - Palliative Care Specialist

Job Summary
Haven House Children's Hospice is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse - Palliative Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Integrated Care Team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to children and young people with palliative care needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to children and young people with palliative care needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Contribute to the evaluation of services and identify areas for improvement to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Participate in audit, service user feedback collection, and research to inform best practice.
- Ensure effective communication and liaison with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (Child/Adult/LD) qualification.
- Experience of working in a palliative care setting, preferably with children and young people.
- Ability to teach clinical skills to parents/care staff and contribute to the education and training of junior staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work unsocial hours as required.
