Support Worker

This vacancy is for a male support worker to provide complex care support in the Woodford Green, Essex area. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and facilitating our client's health, care, personal, social, professional, educational, and voluntary goals.
The ideal candidate will have previous care experience, preferably supporting people with physical disabilities, Gastrostomy care, Ventilation, and Moving and Handling. They will also be a driver with a full, UK driving licence and comfortable around animals, with no cat allergies.
The role requires the ability to work well as part of a team, be supportive, kind, and able to follow instructions and policies. The successful candidate will also be required to maintain and promote the safety of our client, both at home and whilst undertaking personal, social, professional, and voluntary activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide all care needs, including personal care
• Provide medication and equipment to our client as needed
• Assist our client as needed getting to and from appointments
• Maintain areas of our client's home and vehicle to an acceptable level of cleanliness
• Check stock supplies and maintain adequate stock levels
• Maintain and organise our client's clothing, belongings, and equipment to their wishes whilst being careful and respectful
• Ensure our client's holistic wellbeing is supported at all times as needed
Requirements:
• Previous care experience, preferably supporting people with physical disabilities, Gastrostomy care, Ventilation, and Moving and Handling
• Full, UK driving licence
• Comfortable around animals, with no cat allergies
• Ability to work well as part of a team, be supportive, kind, and able to follow instructions and policies
• Enhanced DBS disclosure
• Willingness to commit to long-term care for one client in a 'person-centred' way
• Willingness to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
• Respect for Company policies and procedures
• Reliability, non-judgemental, caring, responsible, compassionate, and committed to confidentiality and treating the client with dignity and respect
