About the Role

This vacancy is for a male support worker to provide complex care support in the Woodford Green, Essex area. The work pattern is either 2 x 12hr shifts per week for part-time, or 4 x 12hr shifts per week for full-time. Shifts patterns will be discussed during the interview.

About the Client and Support Needed:
You will be providing complex care support, as needed for our professionally and socially active, creative client to maintain independence, by assisting and facilitating our client's health, care, personal, social, professional, educational and voluntary goals.

Key Responsibilities:
· To provide all care needs, including personal care
· To provide medication and equipment to our client as needed
· To assist our client as needed getting to and from appointments
· To maintain areas of our clients home and vehicle to an acceptable level of cleanliness
· To check stock supplies and maintain adequate stock levels
· To maintain and organise our clients clothing, belongings and equipment to his wishes whilst being careful and respectful
· To ensure our client's holistic wellbeing is supported at all times as needed

Requirements:
· Previous care experience - preferably supporting people with physical disabilities, Gastrostomy care, Ventilation and Moving and Handling
· You should work well as part of a team, be supportive, kind, be able to follow instructions and policies, be organised, honest and have excellent communication skills
· An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
· Prepared to commit to long term care for one client in a 'person-centred' way
· Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
· Respect Company policies and procedures
· Be reliable / non-judgemental / caring / responsible / compassionate
· Committed to confidentiality and to treat the client with dignity and respect
