Job Responsibilities

Energy Supply Division

Our Energy Supply division plays a crucial role in shaping a sustainable energy landscape. As part of the broader regulatory team, we enforce a comprehensive regulatory framework for energy-related initiatives, including heat networks and electric vehicle infrastructure. Our goal is to foster a thriving energy market that benefits both businesses and consumers.

Key Duties

As an Enforcement Manager, you will lead efforts to ensure compliance within the energy sector. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the transition to a sustainable energy future by developing and implementing effective technical standards and regulations.
  • Leading enforcement initiatives to ensure adherence to legal requirements and providing guidance for industry improvement.
  • Building expertise in the sector to inform regulatory strategies and empower your team to achieve outstanding results.
  • Facilitating collaboration across departments to maintain consistent regulatory practices and adapt to evolving policy demands.
  • Delivering essential regulatory services, including responding to inquiries and advising on legislative developments.
  • Conducting a comprehensive range of enforcement activities to ensure compliance and protect consumer interests.

Candidate Profile

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds who can demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: A degree (or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline is required, along with the ability to quickly grasp and apply technical knowledge.
  • Industry Experience: A proven history of delivering technical regulation or managing operational projects within the utilities sector.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and inform strategic decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication skills to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work effectively with colleagues to achieve common objectives.
  • Strategic Mindset: Capability to develop and implement effective plans while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Travel Requirements: This role may involve occasional travel within the UK.

Qualifications

A degree (or equivalent) in engineering or a related field is essential.
