About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our team at the Department for Business and Trade. As a key member of our enforcement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with product safety and standards regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations into non-compliance of product safety and standards regulations
- Develop and implement effective enforcement strategies to protect people and the environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide expert guidance to businesses and stakeholders on regulatory compliance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, trade bodies, and other regulatory agencies
- Analyse market trends, product information, and technical data to identify potential compliance risks
- Ensure all enforcement activities adhere to legal and regulatory frameworks
Requirements
- A Level 4 Regulatory Compliance Officer Apprenticeship qualification or equivalent regulatory or compliance level qualification
- Experience in an investigatory role within regulation, enforcement, or compliance
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads and priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to research, understand, and assess technical information
- A willingness to travel and possible overnight stays as determined by business need
- A full valid driving licence
