Regulatory Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Enforcement Officer to join our team at the Department for Business and Trade. As an Enforcement Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with product safety and standards regulations, protecting consumers and the environment.
About the RoleThe Enforcement Officer will be responsible for addressing non-compliance with product safety and standards regulations, conducting investigations, and providing expert guidance to businesses and stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks and inform enforcement strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct investigations into non-compliance with product safety and standards regulations
- Provide expert guidance to businesses and stakeholders on regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks
- Develop and implement effective enforcement strategies
- Ensure all enforcement activities adhere to legal and regulatory frameworks
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Level 4 Regulatory Compliance Officer Apprenticeship qualification or equivalent regulatory or compliance level qualification
- Experience in an investigatory role within regulation, enforcement, or compliance
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads and priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to research, understand, and assess technical information
