About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy services, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide person-centered care.
  • Assess and develop individualized care plans that address the functional needs and goals of service users.
  • Provide individual and group interventions, including therapeutic activities and education, to promote recovery and resilience.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care pathways and policies.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration or pending qualification/HCPC.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health needs, including evidence of standardized assessments and OT models of practice.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a flexible approach to work.
