A unique opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Transformation Unit as a Clinical Specialist in Neonatal Occupational Therapy.
This role will involve providing clinical leadership in the field of neonatal Occupational Therapy, promoting the highest standards of patient care throughout the specialty, in line with local and national standards, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- To provide clinical leadership in the field of neonatal Occupational Therapy across the acute sites of the Transformation Unit, promoting the highest standards of patient care throughout the specialty, in line with local and national standards, policies, and procedures.
- To support the parent-infant relationship, helping parents understand and respond to behavioral cues and signs of stress, helping infants to regulate their body systems and participate in co-occupations such as sleeping, feeding, and early interaction.
- The post holder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team on the neonatal units, including Nursing staff, medical team, other Allied Health Professionals, and support staff.

- Completion of HEE Neonatal Foundation Modules.
- Evidence of relevant postgraduate experience.
- Evidence of training in neurodevelopment.

- Experience of contributing or leading on audit/service development, service evaluation projects.
- Evidence of interpreting data and using it to formulate action plans.

- Evidence of using correct approaches when challenging inappropriate behavior.
