Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our sales team and drive business growth in the technical services sector.

About the Role: As Sales Director, you will be responsible for managing a team of sales professionals and developing strategic relationships with key clients in the automotive industry. You will work closely with our engineering and design teams to understand client needs and develop tailored technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales team: Manage a team of 4 internal sales engineers and 1 external account manager to drive sales growth and achieve targets.
  • Develop strategic relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the automotive industry, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 companies.
  • Technical solution development: Work with our engineering and design teams to develop tailored technical solutions for clients.
  • Account development: Develop and execute account development strategies to drive business growth and increase revenue.
  • New business development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and expansion.
  • Reporting and analysis: Provide regular sales reports and analysis to the Managing Director to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven track record of selling technical services into the automotive industry, with experience of managing a sales team and developing strategic relationships.
  • Qualifications: Engineering qualification (not essential) and a strong understanding of the automotive industry.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present at board level and work effectively with engineering teams.
  • Personal qualities: Strategic thinker, team player, and results-driven individual with a strong work ethic.
