Technical Support Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Technical Support Specialist to become a vital part of our innovative team at Nine Twenty Recruitment. The ideal candidate will be tasked with delivering technical support and assistance concerning computer systems, networking equipment, and software applications. A proactive, organized, and customer-focused individual with a solid grasp of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting methodologies is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to user inquiries and support requests through various communication channels.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software.
- Guide junior support staff or clients through problem resolution or escalate issues to higher-level support when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Technical Manager and support team to address recurring technical challenges and training needs.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions using our helpdesk and CRM systems.
- Update client site information as required.
- Assist in documenting and adhering to established procedures and protocols.
- Continuously enhance your knowledge of products and technologies we support.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of systems and data.
- Oversee and maintain the functionality of computer systems and networks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in network management and fault diagnosis, including Next Generation firewalls and routers.
- Strong proficiency in Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.
- Basic server management knowledge.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Strong diagnostic skills for both hardware and software.
- Demonstrated work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to adapt swiftly in a dynamic environment.
- Prior experience in an IT support capacity, preferably within an IT services organization.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications are advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of Office 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, and Azure.
- Familiarity with VOIP telephony solutions.
- Understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
