Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Pharmacist with a specialist interest in Family Services to join our team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Responsibilities

The postholder will provide an advanced clinical pharmacist service within the Family Services Directorate, requiring excellent organisational and interpersonal skills alongside sound clinical knowledge and relevant experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supervising the duties of Pharmacists, Pre-registration Pharmacists, and ward support technicians within the clinical team.
  • Supporting the medicines information services and training pharmacy staff to deliver these services.
  • Working closely with the established team at Hull Royal Infirmary to develop and harmonise the service provided across the Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy plus pre-registration training resulting in registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or proven level of equivalent experience.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Accredited pre-registration pharmacy student tutor and/or accredited clinical pharmacy diploma tutor.
  • Independent Prescribing qualification.
  • MFRPSI.

Previous hospital Pharmacy experience as a Clinical Pharmacist, with a minimum of four years post-qualification experience, including a minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience in a relevant specialist area, is essential.

Previous experience of supervising/mentoring junior colleagues is also required.
