Your Responsibilities:

As the Sales Manager for Agricultural Services, you will be responsible for crafting and executing the sales strategy for Veolia UK's agricultural offerings, which encompass services such as waste management for food surplus, recycled animal bedding, animal feed solutions, low-carbon fertilizers, land restoration, and biosolids management. Your key duties will include:

  • Developing sales strategies and setting performance targets in collaboration with General Managers across various teams.
  • Establishing standardized sales and marketing procedures to ensure a unified approach.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Corporate Development to prepare the annual budget for the team.
  • Achieving revenue and margin targets through effective leadership of the sales team.
  • Enhancing customer retention by providing training and implementing new processes.
  • Creating a marketing strategy and budget in partnership with General Managers.
  • Working closely with the Marketing Department and other divisions to identify new business opportunities.
  • Engaging with customers to understand their needs and promote our agricultural solutions.
  • Participating in internal events to raise awareness of our agricultural services.
  • Supporting bidding processes for various divisions.
  • Managing a team of 4 to 6 Sales Representatives, setting targets, and overseeing their performance and career development.

What We Seek:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role.
  • Proven experience in managing a sales team is essential.
  • Experience in selling diverse services is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the grocery retail and food & beverage sectors is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the agricultural industry is beneficial.
