Your Responsibilities:

As the Sales Manager, you will spearhead the Sales Strategy for Veolia UK's Agricultural Services, encompassing initiatives such as food waste management, recycled animal bedding, sustainable animal feed, low-carbon fertilizers, land restoration, and biosolids management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies and targets (revenue, margin, etc.) in collaboration with General Managers across various sub-teams.
  • Establishing standardized sales and marketing procedures to ensure a unified approach.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Corporate Development to formulate the annual budget.
  • Achieving revenue and margin goals through a dedicated team of Sales Representatives.
  • Enhancing customer retention through effective training and process improvements.
  • Creating marketing strategies and budgets in partnership with General Managers.
  • Working closely with Veolia's Marketing Department and other divisions to identify new business opportunities.
  • Engaging in customer meetings to assess needs and promote our agricultural solutions.
  • Participating in internal events to elevate the visibility of our agricultural offerings.
  • Supporting bidding processes across various divisions.
  • Directly managing a team of 4 to 6 Sales Representatives.
  • Setting performance and retention targets for direct reports.
  • Overseeing performance management and career development plans for your team.

You will report directly to the Head of Corporate Development and Agricultural Services.

What We Seek:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role.
  • Proven experience in managing a sales team is essential.
  • Experience in selling diverse services is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the grocery retail and food & beverage sectors is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the agricultural sector is beneficial.
