As a vital member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in enhancing processes to ensure a top-tier central function and overall business success. Your expertise in accounts payable and reconciliations, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and strong Excel skills, will be essential. This position is based in our Goring-on-Thames office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all supplier invoices are properly authorized, processed, and recorded in a timely manner within Sage.
  • Manage the creation of new supplier accounts in Sage.
  • Analyze and process supplier invoices according to customer project codes and departmental allocations.
  • Address supplier inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date supplier records and foster strong relationships with our suppliers.
  • Process employee expense claims in Sage.
  • Assist with the weekly payment runs for both UK and international transactions.
  • Manage the payables mailbox effectively.
  • Oversee and reconcile duty and freight cost controls.
  • Handle prepayments and accruals for supplier invoices.
  • Safeguard the addition of fixed assets.
  • Conduct reconciliations for Soldo and Barclaycard.
  • Prepare monthly international VAT returns, collaborating closely with external VAT consultants.
  • Support cost analytics and reporting efforts.
  • Assist in calculating landed costs, sales pricing, and net profit reporting.
  • Help address annual audit inquiries.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the POP process.
  • Perform ad hoc finance tasks as needed.

Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs may be required.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Partially or fully qualified AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with Sage (200c) is highly desirable.
  • Highly organized and efficient, with a focus on priorities and deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated work ethic.
  • Responsible and quick learner.
  • Determined and open-minded approach.
  • Customer-focused mindset in all tasks.
  • Positive team player with a good sense of humor.
