Within our finance department, you will play a vital role in enhancing processes to ensure a top-tier central function and contribute to the overall success of the organization. Your expertise in accounts payable and reconciliations will be essential, complemented by your meticulous attention to detail and advanced Excel skills. This role is situated in our Goring-on-Thames office.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate authorization, processing, and recording of all supplier invoices in Sage.
- Manage the setup of new supplier accounts in Sage.
- Analyze and process supplier invoices according to customer project codes and departmental allocations.
- Address supplier inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date supplier records and foster strong relationships with our suppliers.
- Process employee expense claims in Sage.
- Assist with the weekly payment runs for both UK and international suppliers.
- Oversee the management of the payables mailbox.
- Maintain and reconcile control over duty and freight costs.
- Handle prepayments and accruals for supplier invoices.
- Safeguard the additions of fixed assets.
- Conduct reconciliations for Soldo and Barclaycard.
- Prepare monthly international VAT returns, collaborating closely with external VAT consultants.
- Support cost analytics and reporting initiatives.
- Assist in calculating landed costs, sales pricing, and net profit reporting.
- Provide assistance with annual audit inquiries.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the POP process.
- Perform various ad hoc finance tasks as needed.
You may be required to adapt to different tasks in response to the evolving needs of the business.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Partially or fully qualified AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
- Experience with Sage (200c) is highly desirable.
- Highly organized and efficient, with a focus on priorities and deadlines.
- Enthusiastic and dedicated to hard work.
- Responsible and a quick learner.
- Determined and open-minded in approach.
- Customer-centric in all endeavors.
- A positive team player with a good sense of humor.
