As a vital member of our finance team, you will play an essential role in enhancing processes to ensure a top-tier central function and overall business success. Your expertise in accounts payable and reconciliations, combined with meticulous attention to detail and strong Excel skills, will be crucial in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all supplier invoices are properly authorized, processed, and recorded in a timely manner.
- Manage the creation of new supplier accounts.
- Analyze and process supplier invoices according to project codes and departmental allocations.
- Address supplier inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date supplier records and foster strong relationships with vendors.
- Process employee expense claims accurately.
- Assist with the weekly payment runs for both UK and international suppliers.
- Manage the payables mailbox effectively.
- Oversee and reconcile duty and freight cost controls.
- Handle prepayments and accruals for supplier invoices.
- Safeguard fixed asset additions.
- Conduct reconciliations for Soldo and Barclaycard.
- Prepare monthly international VAT returns, collaborating closely with external VAT consultants.
- Support cost analytics and reporting efforts.
- Assist in calculating landed costs, sales pricing, and net profit reporting.
- Help address annual audit inquiries.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the POP process.
- Perform ad hoc finance tasks as needed.
Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the business may be required.
Essential Skills and Qualities
- Partially or fully qualified AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with Sage (200c) is highly desirable.
- Highly organized and efficient, with a focus on priorities and deadlines.
- Enthusiastic and dedicated work ethic.
- Responsible and eager to learn.
