Overview

We are in search of a Senior Oracle Business Analyst who will report directly to the Director of Enterprise Resource Planning and Business Applications.

The Oracle Business Analyst is essential in documenting and comprehending current business workflows, implementing enhancements, and executing Oracle-based solutions. This individual must facilitate sessions for reviewing business processes with stakeholders, accurately document these processes, develop business requirements, and design effective solutions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders are crucial for this role. A results-oriented mindset, persistence, and problem-solving capabilities are essential. The candidate should possess experience in researching, understanding, and applying Oracle functionalities to meet business requirements within a global context.

Role Summary

The Senior Oracle Business Analyst collaborates closely with the Director of ERP and Business Applications, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Business Process Owners, Developers, and End Users to enhance and automate supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial processes related to the Oracle application. This position is vital in identifying opportunities to create business value, pursue improved or new technological functionalities, and drive the standardization of business processes and technology throughout the organization. Responsibilities include planning, designing, testing, and deploying efficient information systems that support core organizational functions and business processes. This encompasses developing business cases, gathering detailed business and systems requirements, and creating user stories/journeys. The individual will utilize proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefits of IT system investments.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze, document, and assess the current state of business processes. Leverage knowledge of best practices and functional expertise to drive organizational change through technology and business process redesign, maximizing the return on investment from our Oracle Application. Validate and document business needs, differentiate between essential requirements and desires, identify gaps between business needs and standard Oracle functionality, and create specifications for developers as necessary. Participate in the support, analysis, and resolution of critical production application issues as project assignments permit. Engage in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Change Control processes, including requirements gathering, analysis, documentation of functional and technical design specifications, solution design, development oversight, testing, sign-off, training, and implementation. Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans to evaluate the integrity and accuracy of business processes, module functionality setups, modifications, enhancements/customizations, and patches. Manage assigned projects/enhancements utilizing Service Now ITBM. Identify and document tasks/deliverables, create project timelines, assign responsibilities, oversee projects, and provide status updates. Collaborate with management and team members to ensure projects remain on schedule, negotiating and adjusting resources and priorities as needed. Create and maintain end-user training documentation and deliver training sessions/demonstrations as required. Develop and maintain business process documentation in both flowchart and narrative formats to support compliance requirements. Assist in establishing team priorities based on statutory, financial, and operational impacts to the business. Adhere to and promote the environmental, health, and safety policies of AFL. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of business processes relevant to the assigned focus area within a diverse manufacturing organization. Strong process orientation with demonstrated experience in business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology-based implementation. Results-driven, persistent, multi-tasking problem solver, capable of complex analysis and thinking. Proven ability to research, comprehend, and apply knowledge of the Oracle Application to business needs within the organization. Capability to train and support users as necessary. Strong business acumen: Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, develop business cases, and ROI for solution design proposals. Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Oracle business analyst (Supporting Oracle EBS Versions). Minimum of 5 years of planning skills that encompass project coordination and management, planning and scheduling, time management, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering from an accredited institution.
