Overview
We are looking for a Senior Oracle Business Analyst who will report directly to the Director of Enterprise Resource Planning and Business Applications.
The Oracle Business Analyst is essential in documenting and comprehending current business workflows, enhancing them, and implementing Oracle-based solutions. This role requires the ability to facilitate business process review sessions with stakeholders, document workflows, create business requirements, and design effective solutions. The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding communication skills and the capability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders. A results-oriented mindset, determination, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this position. The candidate should have a proven track record of researching, understanding, and leveraging Oracle functionalities to meet business needs within a global context.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, document, and assess the current state of business processes.
- Utilize knowledge of industry best practices and functional expertise to drive organizational change through technology and business process reengineering, maximizing the return on investment in our Oracle Application.
- Validate and document business requirements, differentiate between essential needs and preferences, identify gaps between business requirements and standard Oracle functionalities, and design specifications for developers as necessary.
- Participate in the support, analysis, and resolution of critical production application issues to ensure end users can effectively operate the business.
- Engage in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Change Control processes, including requirements gathering, analysis, documentation of functional and technical design specifications, solution design, development oversight, testing, training, and implementation.
- Create, document, and execute comprehensive test plans to evaluate the integrity and accuracy of business processes, module functionality setups, modifications, enhancements, and patches.
- Manage assigned projects and enhancements using Service Now ITBM.
- Identify and document tasks and deliverables, develop project schedules, assign responsibilities, and provide project status updates.
- Collaborate with management, team members, and users to ensure projects remain on schedule, negotiating and adjusting resources and priorities as needed.
- Develop and maintain end-user training materials and conduct training sessions, demonstrations, and presentations as required.
- Maintain business process documentation in both flowchart and narrative formats to support compliance requirements.
- Assist in establishing team priorities based on regulatory requirements, financial implications, and operational impacts.
- Adhere to and promote the environmental, health, and safety policies of AFL.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of business processes relevant to the assigned focus area within a diverse manufacturing environment.
- Strong process orientation with demonstrated experience in business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling, and methodology-driven implementation.
- Results-driven, persistent, multi-tasking problem solver capable of complex analysis and critical thinking.
- Proven ability to research, comprehend, and apply knowledge of the Oracle Application to meet organizational needs.
- Ability to train and support users as necessary.
- Strong business acumen: Develop and maintain effective relationships, create business cases, and assess ROI for proposed solution designs.
- 5+ years of experience as an Oracle business analyst (supporting Oracle EBS versions).
- 5+ years of experience in project coordination and management, planning and scheduling, time management, and handling multiple deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering from an accredited institution.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
Required Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination and management, planning and scheduling, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle business analyst (supporting Oracle EBS versions).
