Position Overview
Are you experienced in Service Charges or Procurement? Do you possess exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, particularly within the Social Housing sector? If so, this position may be ideal for you.
As a Section 20 Cost Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include managing communication, gathering information, and executing all Section 20 tasks to either implement new service charge costs for our clients or to renew contracts for existing services that are subject to service charges within our organization.
You will oversee a designated portfolio of customers to ensure precise service charge budgets are established and annual accounts are generated within the required legal timelines. The successful applicant will be expected to provide technical and professional guidance, advice, and support across various business areas to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory standards concerning Service Charges.
Strong communication skills are essential for success in this role, as you will be interacting with customers who have inquiries about any aspect of the service charge and will provide necessary documentation upon request.
This position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis and allows for a hybrid working arrangement.
Candidate Requirements
To qualify for the role of Service Charge Financial Analyst - Section 20, candidates should possess:
  • Experience in enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in executing Section 20 tender processes or a willingness to learn and stay updated with legislative changes.
  • Experience in a customer service or customer care environment.
  • Experience in a supportive role within the social housing sector or a related field. (D)
  • Strong understanding of social housing policies. (D)
  • Good knowledge of income and expenditure accounts and budgeting. (D)
  • Ability to manage, review, and collect current information to aid in the preparation of accurate accounts and budget setting (including sinking fund and depreciation reviews, utility meter readings).
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting demands to achieve agreed outcomes for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent customer service skills across all communication channels, responding to customer interactions in accordance with the required Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Highly organized and methodical with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Experience with purchase order and invoicing systems. (D)
  • A valid driving license and access to a suitable vehicle for travel to various schemes and offices as needed.
  • A natural ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
