We are looking for a Senior Oracle Business Analyst who will report directly to the Director of Enterprise Resource Planning and Business Applications.
The Oracle Business Analyst will be instrumental in documenting and comprehending current business workflows, enhancing them, and implementing Oracle-based solutions. This role requires the ability to facilitate sessions for reviewing business processes with stakeholders, documenting workflows, constructing business requirements, and designing solutions. Excellent communication skills and the capability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders are essential. A results-oriented mindset, persistence, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this position. The ideal candidate will have experience in researching, understanding, and applying Oracle functionalities to meet business needs within a global context.
Job Summary
The Senior Oracle Business Analyst collaborates closely with the Director of ERP and Business Applications, along with Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Business Process Owners, Developers, and End Users, to enhance and automate supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial processes specific to the Oracle application. This role is vital in identifying opportunities to add business value, pursue enhanced or new technological functionalities, and drive the standardization of business processes and technology across the organization. Responsibilities include planning, designing, testing, and deploying efficient information systems that support core organizational functions and business processes. This encompasses developing business cases, gathering detailed business and systems requirements, and creating user stories/journeys. The individual will utilize proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefits of IT system investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, document, and assess the current state of business processes.
- Leverage knowledge of best practices and functional expertise to drive organizational change through technology and business process redesign, optimizing the return on investment of our Oracle Application.
- Validate and document business needs, differentiate between essential requirements and preferences, identify gaps between business needs and standard Oracle functionality, and design specifications for developers as necessary.
- Participate in the support, analysis, and resolution of critical production application issues to ensure end users can operate effectively.
- Engage in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Change Control processes, including requirements gathering, analysis, documentation of functional and technical design specifications, solution design, development oversight, testing, sign-off, training, and implementation.
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans to evaluate the integrity and accuracy of business processes, module functionalities, modifications, enhancements, and patches.
- Manage assigned projects/enhancements using Service Now ITBM.
- Identify and document tasks/deliverables, create project schedules, assign responsibilities, and provide project status updates.
- Collaborate with management and team members to ensure projects remain on schedule and negotiate resource allocation and priorities as needed.
- Create and maintain end-user training documentation and deliver training sessions, demonstrations, and presentations as required.
- Develop and maintain business process documentation in both flowchart and narrative formats to support compliance.
- Assist in establishing team priorities based on regulatory requirements, financial implications, and operational impacts on the business.
- Adhere to and promote the environmental, health, and safety policies of AFL.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of business processes related to the assigned focus area in a diverse manufacturing environment.
- Strong process orientation with proven experience in business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology-based implementation.
- Results-driven, persistent, multi-tasking problem solver with the ability to engage in complex analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to research, understand, and apply knowledge of the Oracle Application to business needs.
- Capability to train and support users as necessary.
- Strong business acumen: Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, develop business cases, and assess ROI for solution design proposals.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Oracle business analyst (supporting Oracle EBS Versions).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination and management, planning and scheduling, time management, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering from an accredited institution.
