About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our growing finance team at Reed. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, working closely with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts for multiple operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with senior directors and department managers to finalize accounts, providing support and analysis as needed.
  • Financial Controls: Conduct balance sheet validations, including control accounts and working capital controls, to ensure the integrity of our financial systems.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Update and maintain weekly reports on sales, forecasts, and working capital for senior management, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Compliance and Governance: Manage monthly VAT checks and prepare quarterly submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Analysis: Proactively identify and address financial concerns, seeking solutions to rectify them and improve financial performance.
  • Financial Systems: Implement and uphold strong financial controls, maintaining the integrity of our management system.
  • Financial Support: Provide financial support and resolve queries across the business, ensuring seamless financial operations.
Requirements
  • AAT Level 4 or currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to align team activities towards common objectives.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs and the ability to analyze management accounts to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Independent worker with the capacity to contribute to team goals.
