Job Description

About the Role:

FORTNA is a leading provider of omnichannel and parcel distribution operations solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the development and deployment of innovative software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute software projects, ensuring timely delivery, scope, and budget adherence.
  • Team Management: Lead cross-functional teams, including project management, solution architects, development teams, QA, and documentation.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Liaise with project stakeholders, including internal sprint teams, external stakeholders, and end users, to ensure effective communication and project expectations.
  • Change Control and Risk Management: Identify, manage, and control changes, as well as assume responsibilities for risk management and risk mitigation.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Track project costs, prepare forecasts, and ensure project releases are completed to design specifications.
  • Travel and Collaboration: Travel to project sites as necessary to facilitate successful project implementation and collaborate with teams to drive project success.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4-7 years of technical experience with project management, cross-functional team management, and strong understanding of software principles and methodologies.
  • Skills: Project costing and forecasting, risk management, risk mitigation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: PMP certification.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Industrial Automation Experience: Experience in industrial automation, software, and/or material handling.
  • Business Acumen: Business degree preferred, but not required.
  • Scrum Certification: Scrum certification.
