Role Overview

The SEO Strategy Lead, located at our Shirebrook office, is tasked with formulating and implementing the SEO strategy for their designated site/brand, as well as overseeing its overall performance. The ideal candidate will accomplish this by guiding their team in managing the website, enhancing organic traffic and revenue through improvements in information architecture, content management, and SEO methodologies. They will be data-driven and focused on performance, ensuring that projects are prioritized and optimized to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).

They will also collaborate with external partners to enhance SEO efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

SEO Performance – take charge of, drive, and enhance performance metrics. Strategy Development – Collaborate with the SEO Manager to create the site's SEO roadmap and strategy. Keyword Research – Conduct keyword analysis and address site technical issues to support the SEO roadmap. Team Leadership – Manage the SEO Team, including conducting performance reviews, one-on-ones, and participating in hiring processes. Reporting and Metrics – Monitor and enhance the site's KPIs and revenue objectives. Insight Analysis – Identify opportunities and trends within the channel. PR Initiatives – Partner with the SEO Manager to execute link-building campaigns. Best Practices – Stay informed about and contribute to broader industry advancements. Knowledge Sharing – Disseminate initiatives, best practices, and results across the team.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in an SEO-focused role with the ability to lead and engage team members. Strong emphasis on the technical components of SEO. Familiarity with various link-building techniques. Experience managing SEO responsibilities for a revenue-generating site. Proficient in keyword research, daily optimization, test plan development, and comprehensive analysis. Skilled in creating and presenting campaign reports, including ROI and conversion metrics. Solid understanding of web usability and site design, with a quantitative approach to traffic analysis. Research capabilities to identify, develop, and prioritize essential keyword sets. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple projects independently. Genuine enthusiasm for SEO and digital marketing. Experience with content marketing and social media campaigns.
