Job Overview

The SEO Operations Lead is tasked with formulating and implementing the search engine optimization strategy for their designated site/brand, ensuring optimal performance and growth. This role is pivotal in driving organic traffic and revenue through enhancements in information architecture, content oversight, and effective SEO methodologies. The ideal candidate will adopt a data-centric approach, prioritizing projects to align with key performance indicators (KPIs).

Support will be provided by external collaborators, enhancing the effectiveness of the SEO initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SEO Performance Management: Take ownership of and enhance the site's SEO performance.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with the SEO Manager to create a comprehensive SEO roadmap.
  • Technical Oversight: Conduct keyword analysis and address technical site issues to support the SEO strategy.
  • Team Leadership: Manage the SEO team, including conducting performance reviews, one-on-one meetings, and involvement in hiring processes.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Track and improve the site's KPIs and revenue objectives.
  • Opportunity Identification: Analyze insights to uncover opportunities for growth within the channel.
  • Link Building Campaigns: Partner with the SEO Manager to execute effective link building initiatives.
  • Industry Best Practices: Stay informed about industry trends and contribute to the evolution of best practices.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Disseminate successful initiatives and best practices across the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an SEO-focused role with leadership capabilities.
  • Strong emphasis on the technical dimensions of SEO.
  • Familiarity with various link building strategies.
  • Experience managing SEO for a revenue-generating site.
  • Proficient in keyword research, daily optimization, and analytical reporting.
  • Ability to create and present detailed campaign reports, including ROI metrics.
  • Solid understanding of web usability and design principles.
  • Strong research skills for identifying and prioritizing essential keywords.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects independently.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for SEO and digital marketing.
  • Experience in content marketing and social media campaigns.
