Job Summary:

FORTNA is seeking a highly skilled Software Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading software development projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including project schedules, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including software developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with project stakeholders, including business sponsors, customers, and end-users, to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring that potential issues are addressed proactively.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that software solutions meet the required quality standards, including testing, validation, and verification.
  • Communication: Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve project management processes and procedures, ensuring that best practices are adopted and maintained.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4-7 years of experience in software project management, with a strong background in Agile methodologies.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams. Proficient in project management tools and techniques, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Certifications: PMP certification is highly desirable.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Industrial Automation Experience: Experience in industrial automation, software, and/or material handling is highly desirable.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
