Job Summary:

FORTNA is seeking a highly skilled Software Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading software development projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including project schedules, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including software developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure project delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that software solutions meet the required quality standards and are delivered on time.
  • Communication: Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including project sponsors, customers, and team members.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve project management processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4-7 years of experience in software project management, with a strong background in Agile methodologies.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams. Proficient in project management tools and techniques, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Certifications: PMP certification is highly desirable.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Industrial Automation Experience: Experience in industrial automation, software, and/or material handling is highly desirable.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and understanding of the software development industry.
