Role Overview

As a Corporate Relationship Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure exceptional service delivery to clients and key stakeholders throughout the loan and portfolio management process. You will handle both incoming and outgoing inquiries from clients at various stages of the lending lifecycle, conducting regular meetings and calls to assess their financial performance, requirements, and expectations, while also identifying potential business opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include managing Corporate Portfolio clients, and you will be expected to:

  • Facilitate positive customer outcomes through effective communication that seeks to understand each client's unique situation and provide sustainable solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Proactively oversee assigned corporate portfolio accounts by identifying credit risks and escalating issues to explore potential solutions.
  • Utilize active listening and insightful questioning to uncover the underlying causes of a client's financial challenges and collaborate with them to identify the most suitable solutions.
  • Offer daily support to Corporate Portfolio Directors regarding general portfolio management tasks.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Recoveries to ensure timely escalation of cases that are not performing as expected.

Essential Skills

  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities, with a strong commitment to minimizing customer effort.
  • A comprehensive understanding of what constitutes a favorable customer outcome.
  • Solid knowledge of regulations pertaining to arrears management.
  • An empathetic approach to customer interactions, employing active listening and effective questioning techniques, alongside a clear understanding of business objectives.
  • A collaborative team player who works flexibly within their team and across the organization to achieve business goals.
