Role Overview
As a Corporate Recovery Manager, you will oversee a select portfolio of corporate clients facing difficulties in loan servicing, security risks, or exit strategies, while providing essential support to the Corporate Recovery Directors.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing credit relationships for clients classified as stressed or distressed, implementing recovery strategies to mitigate credit risk.
- Demonstrating expertise in recovery and business restructuring, collaborating with professional advisors to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Leading credit discussions with clients and securing necessary approvals for exposures and actions from relevant authorities.
- Conducting thorough analyses of information from clients and advisors, ensuring robust situation assessments and formulating effective recovery strategies.
- Engaging with clients directly to understand the issues contributing to their financial distress, fostering relationships, and developing tailored strategies.
- Making informed credit recommendations, including loan restructuring, while monitoring management information and overseeing security and documentation requirements.
- Building relationships with external professionals such as insolvency practitioners, receivers, and legal advisors.
- Maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge across various asset types, sectors, and regions.
- Contributing to departmental management by identifying process improvements to enhance outcomes for clients and the organization.
Essential:
- Experience in credit risk management or workout roles within SME and corporate lending.
- Knowledge of credit management and recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with the commercial and residential lending landscape.
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Proven analytical capabilities with a solid understanding of risk control.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good grasp of financial statements and cash flow projections.
