Job Role
As a Corporate Recovery Manager, you will oversee a select portfolio of corporate clients facing challenges related to loan servicing, security risks, or exit strategies. Your role will involve providing essential support to the Corporate Recovery Directors while managing credit relationships for clients in stress or distress.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage credit relationships for a portfolio of clients in stressed or distressed situations, implementing effective turnaround and recovery strategies to mitigate credit risk.
- Demonstrate expertise in recovery and business restructuring, collaborating with professional advisors to achieve optimal outcomes for clients and Together.
- Lead credit discussions with clients, securing necessary approvals for exposures and actions from relevant authorities while engaging with management teams and key stakeholders.
- Analyze and critically assess information from clients and advisors, ensuring thorough situation analysis to develop turnaround and restructuring strategies.
- Conduct client visits to address issues leading to their distressed situations, fostering relationships and considering suitable strategies to resolve concerns.
- Provide clear and substantiated credit recommendations, including loan restructuring when appropriate, while monitoring management information and overseeing security and documentation requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners such as insolvency practitioners, receivers, lawyers, and valuers.
- Stay informed about industry trends across various asset types, sectors, and regions.
- Contribute to departmental management by identifying process improvements to enhance outcomes for clients and the business.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Experience in credit risk and workout roles within SME and corporate lending.
- Knowledge of credit management and recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with the commercial and residential lending markets.
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Proven analytical abilities with a solid understanding of risk control.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good grasp of financial accounts and cash flow forecasts.
