Job Title: General Maintenance Operative

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated General Maintenance Operative to join our team at Integral UK Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks within our commercial premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Routine Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting and decorating, carpentry, plumbing, and porterage duties to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Respond to Work Orders: Respond to work orders and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Inspect and Troubleshoot Equipment: Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify maintenance needs and report to the Site Supervisor.
  • Coordinate External Contractors: Assist in the coordination and supervision of external contractors when necessary to ensure seamless execution of tasks.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment and maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with site team, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Be Approachable and Proactive: Be approachable and have a can-do ethos to work, with a strong focus on problem-solving and effective communication.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in general maintenance and repair work, with a strong understanding of basic plumbing, carpentry, and decorating.
  • Operational Skills: Ability to operate and maintain maintenance equipment and tools, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, with a strong focus on effective communication and collaboration.
  • Time Management and Organization: Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a strong focus on prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills and ability to work well with others, with a strong focus on building positive relationships.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices, with a strong focus on maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle, with a strong focus on safety and responsibility.

Working Conditions:

  • Site-Based Work: The General Maintenance Operative will be site-based within our commercial premises, with a strong focus on working independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Demands: Physical stamina is required, with a focus on standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, and performing manual labor.
  • Working Hours: Working hours are 24 hours per week, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability to meet operational needs.
  • Additional Hours: Additional hours may be required to cover holiday for the Site Supervisor, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
