Position Overview

Screwfix is experiencing remarkable growth, and we are excited to invite a dedicated Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator to our Property department. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the timely execution of maintenance tasks for our Trade Counter Operations. Collaborating closely with the Facilities team, you will manage work requests and handle a significant volume of communications daily, liaising with both the Trade Counter estate and external contractors.

We offer both permanent and fixed-term contract opportunities, embracing a hybrid working model that balances in-office collaboration with flexible remote work. You will be expected to work from our head office three days a week, with the freedom to manage your schedule around our core hours of 10am-3pm. Our office environment is designed for comfort and productivity, featuring a subsidized canteen and free parking, making it a place you will enjoy working in.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that maintenance requests are completed within established deadlines and quality standards.
  • Communicate relevant information effectively to stores and suppliers.
  • Assist in the new store opening program by managing setup orders.
  • Track and provide updates on work progress.
  • Offer administrative support to the Facilities Manager.
  • Process work requests in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Generate purchase orders for work payments.
  • Manage the Facilities mailbox and address queries and requests.
  • Coordinate surveys and actions with external suppliers and internal partners.
  • Continuously seek to enhance our processes and practices.
  • Participate in supplier and facilities meetings as required.
  • Oversee specific elements of the facilities process, including updating records and providing information.
  • Analyze and manage maintenance reports.
  • Review and oversee payment schedules submitted by suppliers.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage changing priorities and urgent tasks.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks amidst a high volume of communications via multiple channels.
