Position Summary:

As an Experienced Kitchen Supervisor, you will play a crucial role within our culinary team, directly reporting to the Head Chef. You will oversee your designated kitchen section, ensuring exceptional standards in food preparation and presentation. Your culinary skills will be essential in crafting seasonal, well-balanced menus that accommodate a variety of dietary needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with established menus, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Mentor and guide junior chefs and kitchen personnel, cultivating a positive and efficient working atmosphere.
  • Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies, ensuring optimal use of resources while upholding health and safety regulations.
  • Evaluate food quality and presentation, ensuring all offerings align with the institution's culinary excellence.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, adhering to food safety protocols and best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, with a solid background as a Chef de Partie or in a comparable role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Experience with diverse cuisines is advantageous.
  • Ability to create and present innovative and visually appealing dishes that cater to a range of tastes and dietary preferences.
  • Experience in supervising and training junior staff, demonstrating excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
  • A detail-oriented approach to food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and dietary requirements, thriving in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
