Job Description

Job Title: Technical Support Engineer

Company: Omega Resource Group

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £44,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer support and build relationships with manufacturers.
  • Work with the projects team to produce surveys and conduct site visits, field activities, and installation.
  • Stay up-to-date with modern communication technologies and contribute ideas for fault finding methodology.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, internally and externally.
  • Comfortable engaging with customers and suppliers on technical and project-related matters.
  • Experience using Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Specialist knowledge in Optical Networks and associated hardware.
  • Familiar with test equipment, such as optical power meters, light sources, BERTs, cellular scanners, and multi-meters.
  • Familiar with Cellular RTE, Routing & Switching protocols, and network synchronization.
  • Able to conduct testing and produce comprehensive test documentation/reports.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
