Claims Operations Manager - Professional Liability
Join Pertemps Bristol Commercial as a Claims Operations Manager, overseeing claims related to professional liability for prominent insurers. Operating under delegated authority, the team is responsible for managing pre-litigation claims from initial notification through to resolution.

The organization follows a hybrid working model.

Typically, you would be expected to work from the office two to three days a week, although initially, a more frequent office presence may be required.


Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively.

Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of Claims Handlers, fostering a high-performance culture.

Compliance and Quality Control:

Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), uphold data accuracy, and perform regular audits. Provide training, coaching, and support to team members and the broader department. Maintain reporting for accounts and collaborate with internal administration to produce necessary reports for insurers.


Risk Assessment:
Identify emerging trends and escalate potential risks to senior management and insurers as appropriate.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in claims management with a strong technical background. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong customer service, relationship management, prioritization, organization, and efficiency skills.

Experience:
Demonstrated experience in line management, handling challenging situations and clients, and proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Knowledge:
Understanding of law firm operations, case management systems, and technical claims processes.

Industry Experience:
Experience in managing professional indemnity and/or management liability policies, or working within the insurance sector. Familiarity with legislative and legal frameworks.
