We are looking for candidates with a background in claims management within the insurance sector or those who have experience as a paralegal managing claims portfolios.
Role Overview:
As a member of a well-established yet expanding claims management team, you will be responsible for handling professional indemnity claims on an outsourced basis.
Your duties will include managing claims for prominent insurers, operating under delegated authority for pre-litigation matters from the initial notification of loss through to resolution.
This role involves overseeing your own caseload, which requires you to assess and investigate coverage, assist insured professionals in responding to claims, and report to insurers as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing insurance policy terms and identifying, investigating, and reporting potential issues to insurers.
- Negotiating settlements of claims within your delegated authority.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in claims management with a solid technical foundation.
- A Law degree, GDL, ACII, CILEx, or equivalent legal qualifications.
- A comprehensive understanding of the relevant legislative and legal frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
