We are seeking a Specialist Claims Consultant to join our dynamic team at RPC, dedicated to managing claims on behalf of professionals. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Claims Director, overseeing a portfolio of professional indemnity claims. Your primary focus will be to ensure a superior claims experience for our clients while providing precise reporting to our insurance partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of professional indemnity claims, making informed decisions that align with the interests of our insurance partners.
- Assist management in identifying areas for team development and contribute to training initiatives.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering strong relationships with clients and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
- Implement reserving strategies set by insurers and oversee external service providers.
- Conduct thorough investigations to assess insured exposures to claims, negotiating settlements within your authority.
- Oversee and manage panel solicitors as a representative for insurers.
- Maintain accurate records within the electronic case management system.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in claims management with a solid technical foundation.
- Familiarity with applicable legislation and compliance standards.
- Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Legal qualifications such as LLB Law, ACII, or CILEx.
- Understanding of law firm operations and client relationship management.
- Experience with case management systems is advantageous.
