Position Overview: Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to provide support for students with autism. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Compensation: The salary for this role ranges from £420 to £500 per week, based on experience and qualifications.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess experience working with children on the autism spectrum or be a recent graduate in Psychology with a solid understanding of autism and its impact on learning. Familiarity with behavioral traits associated with autism is essential. Additionally, the role may involve supporting children with other learning challenges such as ADHD and dyslexia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to address their individual learning needs.
  • Assist students in following their Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding protocols and effectively manage any arising situations.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to the SEN Coordinator and teaching staff.
