Position Summary:
We are in search of a skilled and empathetic SEN/Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will engage closely with students facing SEN and autism challenges, delivering personalized support to enrich their educational journey and personal growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group assistance to students with SEN and autism.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Support the classroom educator in adjusting lessons to cater to the needs of SEN/ASD students.
- Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
- Track and document students' progress, providing insights to educators and guardians.
- Help prepare teaching materials and resources tailored to individual requirements.

- Engage in training and professional development to remain updated with best practices in SEN and autism support.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant with SEN and autism students, ideally in a secondary school context.
- Relevant educational qualifications in SEN, autism support, or related fields (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Autism Awareness certification).
- Strong comprehension of SEN and autism, including effective support strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Patience, empathy, and a sincere commitment to assisting students with SEN and autism.
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
