This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cardiology Investigations Department at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust as we expand our provision of echocardiography services.
We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team to coordinate and schedule complex echocardiography investigations.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will support the provision of high-quality patient care through dedicated administrative and clerical support and continuous improvement.
Based in the Cardiology Investigations Unit, the post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative and clerical issues relating to patient pathways of care, tracking, and supporting patients from referral to treatment and/or discharge for complex echocardiography.
The post holder will provide a patient-focused service that supports clinical staff in the provision of efficient integrated pathways that enable the best use of resources and ensure that patients are fit, willing, and able to be treated and that they are treated in the right place, by the right person, at the right time.
The post holder will ensure high levels of patient care and will ensure clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer-focused, and knowledgeable point of contact.

Key Requirements- Experience of IT systems and software
- Experience of working in a hospital/healthcare setting
- Knowledge of NHS service provision/waiting lists
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills
- Demonstrates a kind/compassionate nature
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work without direct supervision
- Previous experience of managing other staff
- Experience of working within the NHS as a scheduler
- Experience of iPM, ICM, Dart
- Understanding of medical terminology
