To provide the cleaning services, as part of the Site Services team in providing a high quality HPV / UV Compliance Coordinator within the cleaning and porter service supplying the organisation’s core services in terms of a comprehensive, professional and integrated service within the community premises. This role is a vital and essential element to healthcare safety and compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to patient’s and colleagues throughout the Trust
- Attends regular refresher training by GAMA as required.
- Ensures each HPV has the correct sign off by ward/IC/NIC as appropriate
- Ensures all cleaning products required for HPV cleans are available at all times
- Communicates with Maintenance and Helpdesk on the status of each HPV to ensure room/bed space downtime is as minimum as practicably possible
- Liaise with Bed manager to ensure a full update on the process has been agreed.
- Collates all HPV & UV data and records this at each site for audit purposes
- Flexibility to adjust working times to meet the needs of the hospital to ensure beds are available as quickly and safely as practicable
- Use of smart devices to document, and photograph element quality standards
- Provides support to operations team where needed.
- Schedules audits and monitoring activities in line with contract, and prevailing standards.
- Provides timely audits and ensures all audit information is accurately recorded on Trust’s auditing platform.
- Production of client monthly service and performance report information
- Works Trustwide to ensure consistency in all compliance and monitoring processes
- Develops delvers and reports on all Quality monitoring outcomes.
- Interrogation of data for daily performance updates
- Undertakes additional duties in line with capabilities as required to fulfil requirements needed by the contract

St Helier Hospital is home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children, while Epsom Hospital is home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC). Both Epsom and St Helier hospitals have Accident and Emergency departments (A&E) and Maternity services (Obstetrics).
With nearly 900,000 people coming to our hospitals for care and treatment every year, our almost 5,000 staff and 500 volunteers work around the clock to keep our busy hospitals running smoothly.
