Job Overview

The Medical Specialties Training Program Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare team by managing various training initiatives within the medical specialties domain. This position requires flexibility, including the ability to work during evenings and weekends as necessary. The coordinator will ensure that all training activities align with established care plans, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with medical staff across various departments, including inpatient and outpatient services, to facilitate training sessions.
  • Welcome participants and guide them through the training process.
  • Conduct basic assessments and gather necessary data to inform training outcomes.
  • Monitor and document participant progress, ensuring adherence to training protocols.
  • Provide clear and concise updates to team members regarding training activities.
  • Utilize information management systems to record training sessions and participant feedback accurately.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of training materials and resources.
  • Maintain a clean and organized training environment.
  • Ensure that all training equipment is properly stocked and available for use.
  • Support the healthcare team by performing administrative tasks as needed.

Education

Essential Criteria

  • A solid educational background, ideally to GCSE level or equivalent.

Desirable Criteria

  • Additional relevant training or certifications.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably within the NHS.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in training or educational roles within a healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with extended skills such as data collection and analysis.
