To exercise accountability and professionalism in practice. 2. To maintain confidentiality of patients, staff and relatives at all times. 3.

To be aware of issues relating to the Data Protection / Freedom of Information Act. 4. To ensure that Trust policies and procedures are adhered to. 5.

Effectively maintains records in accordance with the NMC Guidelines. 6. Assists the Lead Midwife to manage the 24 hours midwifery service. 7.

Organises and participates in the provision of parent education teaching in hospital. 8. Develops and maintains midwifery skills related to both antenatal, hospital and homebirth settings, in order to relieve/assist the Maternity Unit when required.
