We are pleased to present an opportunity for a Women's Empowerment Recovery Coordinator who possesses the expertise and experience to evaluate and engage with our service users, ensuring they receive the appropriate interventions at the right time, tailored to their specific needs.

Attention to detail and a fondness for documentation are essential, as you will be required to maintain records of your activities. However, the majority of your time will be spent interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds, making a significant impact on their lives. Each day will present new challenges, and we treat every person who seeks our services as an individual, making flexibility, curiosity, and active listening crucial attributes.

Location: Peterborough

Employment Type: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £27,529.41 annually

Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2025.

Responsibilities

Role Description:

  • Manage a small caseload of residents throughout their recovery journey after transitioning from homelessness, guiding them towards long-term housing solutions.
  • Fulfill duties as scheduled within the CGL Peterborough staff team, regularly collaborating across community services, including evenings, weekends, and some public holidays.
  • Encourage all residents to develop essential life skills and engage in recovery activities to enhance their recovery capital.
  • Ensure residents clearly understand the expectations for participating in structured treatment while residing at the project.
  • Foster a culture of 'recovery community' among residents.
  • Support service users in their social reintegration, empowering them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives by promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.

Candidate Profile:

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and some public holidays.
  • Strong understanding of housing, benefits, and budgeting challenges.
  • Excellent advocacy skills with experience in supporting marginalized groups.
  • Knowledge of the significance of Recovery Capital.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficient IT capabilities.
  • Proactive, capable of working independently, with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • A supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with a diverse range of professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
