Activity Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Recovery Worker at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs to achieve their recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver group and individual sessions to support recovery and promote well-being, under the guidance of a qualified member of staff.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to plan and coordinate the ward activity program, co-facilitating groups with nursing staff, healthcare assistants, and the Occupational Therapy team.
- Support service users to identify and overcome fears, and challenge negative self-talk, within a relationship of empathy, trust, and honesty.
- Facilitate access to community groups and networks to enable service users to participate in community activities and maximize opportunities for taking on socially valued roles and positive identity.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professional and caring attitudes and behavior towards other team members, service users, and carers.
- Good level of secondary education to GCSE level.
- Level of educational attainment to NVQ 3 / AS Level or equivalent.
- Understanding of Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) or whole life plan.
- Experience of being in a supportive and enabling role.
- Experience of working in a team or group environment.
