Position Overview

The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and proactive Recovery Support Coordinator to join our team. This role will be based in a vibrant and diverse community, where you will play a crucial part in supporting individuals on their recovery journeys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist service users in navigating their recovery pathways through collaborative goal-setting, addressing various health and social needs.
  • Monitor and identify early signs of relapse by assessing the user's progress and mental state, ensuring timely communication with relevant care staff.
  • Engage in regular planning and review sessions with supervising clinicians, maintaining high standards of clinical management.
  • Document service user interactions and progress accurately in accordance with established protocols.
  • Facilitate access to community-based activities that promote social inclusion and vocational engagement.
  • Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with external organizations to support service users in achieving their objectives.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evaluation of the Recovery Support Coordinator role within the Trust.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (grades A-C) or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 3 or relevant experience in a similar role.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Training in mental health or social care.
  • NVQ Level 4.

Experience Required

  • Experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges.
  • Background in health or social care settings, either statutory or non-statutory.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Compassionate approach towards vulnerable individuals, advocating for their needs.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Understanding of psychosis and related mental health issues.
  • Aware of the challenges faced by individuals with mental health conditions.

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to travel independently within the community.
