About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Activity Coordinator at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs to engage in meaningful activities and promote their recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver group and individual sessions to support recovery and promote well-being
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to plan and coordinate the ward activity programme
  • Support individuals to identify and achieve their own recovery goals and set objectives
  • Model personal responsibility, self-awareness, and self-belief to inspire and instil confidence in individuals
  • Teach coping, self-help, and self-management techniques to individuals
  • Facilitate access to community groups and networks to enable individuals to participate in community activities
  • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professional and caring attitudes and behaviour towards team members, individuals, and carers
Requirements
  • Good level of secondary education to GCSE level
  • Level of educational attainment to NVQ 3 / AS Level or equivalent
  • Understanding of Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) or whole life plan
  • Experience of being in a supportive and enabling role
  • Experience of working in a team or group environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
  • Able to relate to a wide range of people
  • Professional in appearance and behaviour
  • Ability to maintain a healthy home/work life balance
  • Ability to manage stress and plan and prioritise workload
